Q: I have never bought a bra through the mail — will I really be able to find the right size?
A: Bra Smyth has been in business for years and we pride ourselves in being able to find the perfect bra for our customers through our product knowledge and the detailed descriptions we offer of our products. Whatever you are looking for, our categorized sections will point you in the right direction and help you find your perfect fit. It's as easy as placing an order and your items will be delivered to your door. You can try them on in the comfort of your own home and take the time to make your decisions. You'll also find that our selection of sizes, styles and manufacturers cannot be compared.
Q: If I'm in between sizes, what should I do?
A: With European lines, the bras often run a little smaller than we are used to in the U.S. In many cases we recommend going for the fuller size if the bra is imported. Stick with the size you usually wear most often and if you truly are in between sizes and can usually wear two different sizes, go with the fuller size.
Q: What is the most common mistake women make when purchasing their bras?
A: It is estimated that 75% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. As our body changes so does our bra size. It is important to pay attention to how your bra is fitting every six months or so. We sometimes lose sight of how worn our favorite bra is, or that it is not fitting the way it used to. Remember, bras will wear out and begin to feel looser after time. When buying new ones it is always important to try them on — your body may have changed since your last bra purchase.
Q: I have recently lost weight and my bra is too big around. Do I need to go down in cup size as well as back size?
A: Accommodating changes in your bra size may mean buying a new size entirely. Although many times you will only need to change the back size initially, as the cups will change proportionately to the back size of the bra. Unless you notice a decrease in your breast size specifically, begin by trying the next back size down — this will usually do the trick.
Q: What is the best method to use in washing my bras?
A: As most lingerie companies will tell you, hand washing is the first choice to clean and maintain the structure, shape and longevity of your bras. However, using a lingerie bag, mild detergent and the delicate cycle in your washing machine is the next best way to keep your bras looking and feeling like the first day you put them on.
Q: How do I know which bras are padded?
A: Our product descriptions are very specific — if there is no padding mentioned then it doesn’t have it. Our customer service representatives will also be happy to answer any product questions you may have.
Q: What is a Molded bra?
A: Molded/contoured bras have cups that are designed with a thin layer of foam to create a pre-formed shape. They are not padded, but simply "molded" resulting in a rounder, more natural shape, with uplift and support for all cup sizes, even fuller figures. For any other terminology questions, make sure to read our Glossary.

Q: Why can’t I find my size or a certain color on the drop-down menus next to a product?
A: The website lists all sizes and colors available on current products. However, when products or colors are discontinued, we show only what is in stock. If you don’t see your size or color, it’s because we don’t have any left. Feel free to check back later, though; on occasion we will manage to get some discontinued products back in.
Q: Why can’t I find a product on the website that’s in the catalog?
A: You may not have the most recent catalog. To receive one, put a request in here or call 1-800-BRA-9466 to have the newest version sent to you. Of course, we occasionally sell out of products even in the newest catalog, at which point they're taken off the website.
